LFS,

This is starting to take on the appearance of a not-so-thinly-veiled "check out LFS's 3500 square foot two-story house in upper-middle-class Los Angeles" brag thread. All we need is OJ driving around with cops following him for the image to be complete.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, you're giving me my best evidence yet that the pictures are deceiving, because my house is small as crap, ~1600 sq ft. It is very cozy.

Addressing multiple points:

I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a hard roll. If you were curious.

Here's another angle:

Needs arrows and crap, that makes the road look even bigger.

it looks like its less than 3car widths wide, or barely wide enough for a car in each direction with one parked on the side

are you trying to go to the left when exiting your driveway? from the looks of the diagram it would be difficult to back out of your driveway with the rear of the car going to the right in order to head left.
my suggestion would be to park your car rear-end first, making the exit a breeze.

hope that made sense.

LFS - You are in the wrong on several counts.

#1 - What kind of jerk doesn't introduce himself to his new neighbors?

#2 - The space is only illegal because it's blocking their driveway. If there was no driveway it would be a totally legal parking spot. Therefore, from a moral standpoint at least, they have a right to block their own driveway.

#3 - Why doesn't your wife learn how to drive better or park 50 yards away like you want the neighbors to do?

Well, allow me to retort:

1. I didn't even know I had new neighbors until yesterday. I sort of thought the same neighbor was parking a new car there. This isn't Mayberry, anyway.

2. Not true IMO. As stated above, there are places up the street where parking is illegal for a one-car stretch purely because of a garage or driveway directly across the street. This is because the street is narrow.

3. Because parking in my driveway is legal, while parking where they are is not. That, of course, brings us back to point #2, but I don't think the only reason it's illegal to park there is because it's a garage.

[censored] CA made me take a written test to get a CA license. So if LFS does live in LA like others have made mention, I can guarantee it is illegal to park infront of any garage/driveway, even if it is your own. I had that specific question on my test.

In LA, not knowing your neighbors is pretty common.

paint the curb 'no parking' red - its win win, no confrontation for the seemingly passive hero and no car hitting for the seemingly incapable wife
