[ QUOTE ]
heights, I can fly in a plane, be in a tall building etc, even a high ladder, or standing on a garage roof etc doesnt bother me, but I cant do anything "athletic" high up, like some of those ninja-kids in teh youtube videos do. [/ QUOTE ] Then you aren't afraid of heights. You just have a healthy fear of killing yourself by being stupid. |

Re: What do you fear?
All,
I just remembered one more. Taking a big crap when I'm at someone else's house and then the toilet clogging up / not flushing. |

Re: What do you fear?
Spider bites.
No pics, but I got bit on the forehead by a brown recluse about 18 months ago...thank jeebus it was on the forehead, and not someplace I wouldn't have noticed in 48 hours. Between the swelling on one side of my head and the greyish pallor showing up, I figured something was...um...bad. Stiff antibiotics fixed it, but a search of brown recluse pics will show you what ten days or so of non-treatment turns into. Ick. Anyway, all I got now is a scar on my forehead, and an office nickname. I do not like spiders. |

Re: What do you fear?
Just thought of this one: saying "I love you" at the end of a phone conversation with someone where it would be totally inappropriate, like a friend or a co-worker. With my family it's kind of what we all say at the end of a phone conversation to the point of being almost automatic.

Re: What do you fear?
Alzheimers, cockroaches (more that they are just disgusting than actual fear), if I have kids anything bad that could happen to them. The last one is kind of overwhelming and I don't know if I could handle having kids because of it.

Re: What do you fear?
I think this may be fairly common, but I fear losing control...Not in the sense of losing control of a relationship or something to that effect. Whenever I'm in a potentially dangerous situation, I think about how easily I could get seriously injured or killed.
For instance, if I'm on top of a tall building or at the edge of a cliff, I always have this thought in the back of my head that I will jump off. Or if I'm holding a gun, sometimes I honestly think I could just turn it around and shoot myself. Something like that. Damn it is scary. |

Re: What do you fear?
[ QUOTE ]
Whenever I walk on bridges pr stairs I'd get dizzy looking down the gap between the floor tiles or stairs [/ QUOTE ] I have this same phenomenon. It gives me major vertigo, even if the stairs aren't high at all. I think I might just have balance problems. Other fears: -aging -dying.. I think about this way too much -site of my own blood -being old and alone -car accidents -losing my mom or 'chair - fainting at a bad time or place and really injuring myself |
