David Reimer (August 22, 1965 – May 5, 2004) was a Canadian man who was born as a healthy boy, but was sexually reassigned and raised as female in an attempt to improve his life after his penis was inadvertently destroyed during circumcision. During Reimer's preadolescent childhood, psychologist John Money reported the reassignment as successful and as evidence that gender identity is primarily learned, but Reimer assumed a male gender role at 15. He later went public with his story to discourage similar medical practices. He committed suicide at the age of 38.

I definitely would not feel comfortable going to a regular doctor if you can't even find anything on Google.

More like I'd be uncomfortable going to any doctor without a bag over my head.

I guess the OP could be a troll. I just don't see the point.

There is no way this post is real. No way anyone waits until whatever age OP is to get this checked out; no way the parents never mention it; no way this doesn't get brought up in the locker room or somewhere when people see your deformed penis; and no way a doctor somewhere along the line in a physical or something doesn't mention this.

This post is 100% real/candid. Yes, I have actually been dumb enough to 'wait' until now. I never gave it thought/rationalized why it's not normal/pushed it to the back of my mind whenever the issue reached the front of my mind(which was rarely ever).

My parents have never said a thing to me. I never stripped down completely in the locker room, the same as probably 70% of the other kids(30 in a class).

I have never gone in for a physical. As I have written twice already in this thread(not blaming anyone for not reading it, it's long, but I'll reiterate: I did see a doctor once when I was 11-12 or so because of a 'burning sensation' when I took a piss, that lasted for a few weeks and has not returned since. Doctor takes a glance at my unit basically to discover the problem, but he said nothing to me about any abnormality. It looks similar to an uncircumcised penis at a glance, so that may have been what happened? I have no idea...maybe he just did not want to say anything assuming it was already being taken care of.

As for a few of the other poster's advice, it looks like I'll probably schedule an appt. with some doctor, and probably end up having to see a urologist anyways?

Now time to try scheduling something...

For a long time I didn't understand references in American popular culture to hand lotion being used when guys jerk off, since if you have a foreskin (like most everybody here in Europe) you don't need it. Wow needing lotion must be a pain - you can't just jack off in bed under the sheets then fall asleep because there's all this lotion to wipe up?

If you're not circumsized the glans is actually really sensitive and not very pleasant to touch direct - you get used to rubbing it through the foreskin, it kind of hurts to do it direct.

I remember at school, the one guy out of like a hundred people who WAS circumsized got laughed at in the showers by the normal uncut folk - in America it's the other way round?

Wait, if you're jerking off to completion, don't you have to wipe up ejaculate?
