i heard sick hsp filming gossip from daniel negreanu.

2 hands he described(i thought he was supposed to like, keep this a secret? at least i remember aba saying that?)

Phil hellmuth raises with AT, Sam Farha pushes, Hellmuth Calls, Farha has JJ.

Other hand. Phil and Sammy get it all in preflop, both with AQ, but phil's is suited. Phil hits flush and wins.

I played 8 hours on Day 1. The atmosphere at the table was awesome and we were laughing and having a great time. The table was quite loose and everyone was laughing it up - mostly at phil hellmuth's expense.

I think I played pretty bad, it was hard to take the game seriously, we were just having too much fun. I am fairly certain I could have nitted up a 30k win or so, but ended up losing. I did have a few good situations come up and I also won 30k in retard poker at the start of the session.

Las Vegas Sun article on upcoming season 4.

minimum buy-in was raised to $500K?!!
[ QUOTE ]
Several players bought in for $1 million, so even before any rebuys there was nearly $5 million on the table Monday afternoon - some of it in casino chips, some in $50,000 bricks of U.S. currency.

"The big game has a structure aimed at generating action, with three "blinds," or forced bets, of $300, $600 and $1,200 each hand."

Something new this season?

I think they're just talking about the straddle they sometimes put on in the first 2 seasons?

Nope because the full quote includes the straddle at $2400.

"The big game has a structure aimed at generating action, with three "blinds," or forced bets, of $300, $600 and $1,200 each hand. Many hands also had a "straddle," an optional fourth blind, of $2,400."

Many of the hands that were straddled were also re-straddled. No one is ever "forced" to put in even the first straddle, but if Sam Farha wants the straddle on, do you really ever say no?
