I see as expected FTDoug hasn't been back in this post.

Really FT refuses to answer security questions or to take steps to end this crap. Something is very wrong either with an inside job stealing or leaking passwords or a very exploitable security issue with signing in to FT for this to be happening.

Why has FT danced around this issue for months now? Because they don't give a damn. People continue to play there and they continue to collect the rake. That is the bottom line.

I refuse to play for real amounts on their site until they fix these issues.

To be fair - I don't think Stars has addressed stuff like this either.
Including the idea of not having your log-in name be the same as your handle at the tables, having the option 'only allow log-in's from THIS computer', etc.

Of course, Stars doesn't appear to have as many hacked-account issues either.
But I asked some of these things in a couple different stars threads before including the one in which Greg Raymer had gotten his Stars account hacked. I don't think we got any response from Stars either.

Again though, since it doesn't seem to be as significant a problem there and i also trust them to get on those things a bit quicker if something does happen.

I'm disappointd in FT's lack of response too. But I don't see many other sites jumping to the fore-front on this security stuff unfortunately.

Unfortunately, i think the amount of complaints is probably low enough, in relation to the amount of players, to be acceptable.

And since the new legislation american players don't have much of a choice.

However, FTP should, at the least, set up something to allow people to prevent logging in from foreign IP/states/countries.

Doesn't Bodog have it so your log in is not the same as your name at the tables? I don't play there but i thought this was true.

I believe they have it where you can either log in with your name at the table or a number that they assign to you. So someone could still login using your name at the table.

I didn't know that.
I have always logged-in using my number on Bodog.

Someone confirm that you can actually log-in using your table-name too?

I always thought you couldn't do that either. i guess i was either wrong or they changed their policy.

Tried it for the first time under my username (instead of number) and got in. I also didn't know this.

I assume the number is due to being associated with the sportsbook and site in general, and the username is a subset used for poker (and maybe casino?) only.

Just had a thought and tried logging in using my username on the website itself (non-poker client), and it works as well. Would be better if the username wasn't an option imo.
