When was this photo taken? 1983?

2 weeks ago she was on Cash Poker as a repeat. She looked so damn hot when the camera pans in on her as Bill is about to lose his buy in.

10-page letter from Bill's wife explaining why she did it. All of those that said he was a great guy may re-consider after reading this...

[/ QUOTE ]

i haven't read it yet but i doubt he deserved to be stabbed to death, whatever he did.

[/ QUOTE ]

You should read it. It's very compelling.

It was self-defense. She should be acquited for the murder.
She might serve time for all the fraud, though.

Why would you automatically believe everything his wife claims to be true?

I would think her credibility would be damaged by 1. her killing her husband and 2. her suicide attempt.

Parts of the story are probably true, but it is almost certainly exaggerated.

[/ QUOTE ]

i totally disagree. the woman just killed a man and is planning
on killing herself, which she already tried to do. why would
she be lieing ?? to create good reading ??

Actually I threw in a caveat just to cover all my bases, but I think her note clearly has the ring of truth.

For one thing it was her suicide note, not a legal brief, she has no reason to lie.

Second the allegations simply sounded to consistent, plausible, and independently verifiable to be fabrications.

Third this is not a potential "truth lies in the middle" scenario. Unless the letter is utter fiction, which I think is highly improbable, then the essence of it is true.

Have you even read the letter?

[/ QUOTE ]

well put. i totally agree. for people who are doubters,
perhaps they've never known true sociopaths, like, say
child molesters, rapists, who can tend to be some of
those most charming people you'll ever hope to meet.

i remember one man i met who was such a serial wife-beater
that she built an iron door and padlock on her bedroom and
built a bathroom inside. he was very charming and engaging
but obviously had a hidden side. That's the way it usually
is. You think sociopaths want to show the world their true
nature all the time ?? They most certainly do not.

[ QUOTE ]
As far as Bill being no saint, nobody is. None of the stuff she ranted about in the 10 page confession justifies his murder.

[/ QUOTE ]

he had threatened to kill her, was not letting her leave,
( which is considered assault and is prosecutable ), and
basically attacked while she holding a knife...

i would imagine a state attorney could successfully defend
this case...

Don't know if it's true, but if he's hiring hitman to kill his ex-wife that might be a justification. Then again reporting it to the police is an option as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

yes it is. unfortunately, apart from getting a restraining order,
there is nothing the law can do. "threats" are part of free speech.
police can only be called in once an altercation begins.

The fact that she clearly lied about the circumstances of his death cast more than a shadow of doubt about the rest of her story. If she really had wanted to commit suicide there's little doubt in my mind she would have been successful. Her story is totally self serving and was pretty clearly the beginning of her defense in this case.

i will concede that the cleaning up of the stain by the bed
is suspicious. forensics should certainly be able to clear
up what happened there.

however, the rest of her story, the money problems, the shady
dealings, etc... should be verifiable. perhaps the ex-wife
could confirm the split personality.

will be an interesting case to watch play out.
