Raps just acquired Juan Dixon for Fred Jones. Not a big-impact trade, but I still like it.

re: Ford. Did you not see the game last night? Or when we almost blew the lead against Chicago? Dude is just NOT clutch. Calderon has terrific court sense and, more importantly, he can FINISH.

Cool, I kept forgetting Fred Jones' name anyway. Hooray for ethnic names.

Raptors were up 27 going into the 4th.. Indiana has scored 16 straight to start the 4th.. are there any Raptor games where I can just breathe a sigh of relief before the last 2 minutes of the game?

Yeah that was ugly. I really thought Carlisle was going to bench O'Neil and Tinsley for the whole 4th. Crazy

Hey do any of you guys agree that Sam Mitchel is in the running for coach of the year? hmmhmmm. It's not that outrageous and would be a pretty good feel good story as Sam was voted worst coach in the NBA by the players last year.
The way that I see it there's only one other team (Utah) that has improved as much from this time last year. However a case can be made that Utah has a much better team. With so many new faces and different styles for Sam to coach I think he's doing an awesome job. Big ups to Colangelo for supporting his coach. If Sam wins coach of the year Colangelo would have no choice but to give him an extension. Awesome, would just love to see Sam flip the bird to all the haters.

4thstreet.. I'd say Mitchell is definitely in the running for coach of the year.. there's still lots of tough games left though and it will depend on how it all shakes down. Some other names being thrown around are Isiah Thomas of the Knicks, and if Avery Johnson's Mavs win 65+ he should be in the running cuz that's just nuts. (should easily be 65+ wins at this pace). I like Colangelo for GM of the year as an almost lock.

book another win, great 2nd half.. the next 2 games against top west teams will be the Litmus test for how good this team really is.
