Default Re: Absolute \"update\"

I just did a little test (small sample) to see the difference. I played 91 hands of 3/6 - 6max. This is what I came up with:

68/91 hands were raked .50 or more. 74.7%
I earned 24 points. 24/75 = 32% of $10.

Bonus: (Let's figure 100 hands per table hour)
$49.25 in bonus cleared per hour = old.
$21.09 in bonus cleared per hour = new.

VIP's:
I earned 73.66, would have been 68 before.
Assuming 600 hands/hr: 485 new, 448 old.

ARP's (as a Platinum)
I earned 147.32, good for 971/hr now. 896/hr before.
46.3 hours / 45,000 ARP's = $375 Ipod. $8.09/hr now.
50.2 hours / 45,000 ARP's = $375 Ipod. $7.47/hr before.

RB:
According to RR, 600 hands of 3/6 FR = 26.04.
RB on 6-max is more, I figure roughly 1.15 - 1. =$29.95/hr.

Adding it all up:

Old: $85.67/hr
New: $59.13/hr

As Elite, the new figure would be $63.18/hr. +4.05/hr.

I'll try to do higher limits, but it will take some time.

Hmmm. I played 238 hands of 1/2 6max a few nights ago. cleared $10 in bonus and ended with 4 points toward next. I don't know what I started with but the most I could have earned would be 104 points.

Tonight I played 136 and earned 38.

136/238= 57% of hands played tonight compared to previous

104 * .57= 59 (thats 57% of points earned under old system**)

59points/100 = 59% of bonus**

**This is assuming the max points I could possibly have earned for the comparitive session, old system.

38points/75 = 50.6% of bonus, new system

worst case scenario is 8.5% loss in bonus or about $0.85 per table hour

Small size, not sure my math makes sense, but I didn't see the logic in yours rowdyclassmate, maybe I am just too tired or, hopefully not, too stoopid! I can probably live with this if it's accurate, if they didn't mess with the rakeback, and if the rake didn't increase.

Under the old system wasn't the min rake $0.75?

Seems like Full Ring gets hit pretty hard because you see fewer flops per % of possible hands dealt, and get dealt fewer hands per hr.

Absolute needs to hire some competant staff members, and stop wasting money to mark seif which is the most meaningless waste of money they can do. I am no sure if they get any actual sign ups because of Mark Seif.

I think Seif owns some of absolute poker

Last night I was thanked for my message and it would be passed on to the “decision makers”.

I asked to correspond directly with the decision makers (pie in the sky thought, but I tried), no response yet.

I was collecting bonus points at a snails pace last night. It appeared somewhere around 40% slower based on eyeballing it (factored the 7.5X clearing rate in as well)

I think thats alot closer owl. Also, alot of people are mentioning that the perks at AP are still just as good as say Full Tilt for example. This is very true. But those of us that were playing AP know that we were giving up alot in other areas when choosing AP.To be honest,if AP is just marginally better than FT in terms of perks, why would i play there you know. The large player base with more casual players and superior software for example will make up for AP`s now only "marginally" better perks.

They can actualy change their system however they like, especially if they hate money. However, changing already existing bonuses is incredibly despicable behavior.
