if you don't like the taste of alcohol and are just trying to look cool, you may as well go all out.

nothing says cool like a shot of whiskey and a beer. you can do this one cheap too. go for something like beem and whatever cheap beer they have on tap. rinse, and repeat.

there are also many options here. the shot of whiskey and beer combo is often referred to as a boilermaker. some people shoot the whiskey and then chase it with the beer. others pour the whiskey into the beer. (some people contend that this is a boilermaker and everything else sucks) others drink some beer to make some room, then drop the shot of whiskey glass and all into the pint glass before chugging the whole concoction. (some say this is a boilermaker, others call it a depth charge) either way, you're too cool for school if you can pull this off without making a fool of yourself.

My dad taught me how to drink. At the bar, I asked him how you know when to stop. He said, "See those 4 guys? When you see 8, stop." I said, "Dad, there's only two guys there!" "Ok," He said, "Maybe just one more"

Awesome.

God Father? Is pretty good too, but is is only mentioned by guids once? I really enjoy it, you'll be hammered in no time. Especially when your friend mixes them.

But if you want an every day drink you should go with G+T. Everyone knows how to make em and they taste excelent

gin & tonic with a lime.

To OP and others who mentioned they don't like beer, how often did/do you drink it? I don't think many people like it that much when they first try it... I'm sure you are aware its more of an acquired taste. Keep drinking!

Negra Modelo for beer

For easy drinking try red wine. A good, but inexpensive = clos de bois merlot
Also Riesling (white wine) is very easy to drink. Has a sweetness to it.

I've been loving the dirty vodka martini as of late:

2 Parts Vodka (something good, i.e. Grey Goose, Ketel, Belvedere - this will not taste good with Popov)
1 Part Olive Brine
Dry Vermouth to taste (i don't use any)

Shake over ice, drain, and serve with 2 olives.

If you want a good COOL go to drink its obviously grey goose & cranberry or grey goose and red bull.

[/ QUOTE ]

It really annoys me when people order expensive liquor and then mix it with a heavy, sweet mixer like cranberry juice or red bull. Showing off that you can name an overpriced vodka does not make you cool.

Or maybe my sarcasm detector is completely busted...

After thinking it over some, this is clearly the drink for you, OP. Especially if you wanna get your girl in the mood quicker and/or get your jimmy thicker.
