Sean C,
I am a big fan of the SEC and will admit that many of the non-conference games scheduled are cupcakes, there are most certainly exceptions such as Tenn/Cal but Pac-10's non-conference schedule has been a lot tougher. But if I were a few of the SEC teams I would probably do the same thing, I mean if you were Auburn would you really want to schedule a tough non-conference game in between the LSU/SC game? 09/16 #6 LSU W 7-3 09/23 Buffalo W 38-7 09/28 at S Carolina W 24-17 10/07 Arkansas L 27-10 10/14 #2 Florida W 27-17 These games are what bring down their schedule, but they did schedule Wash St. the first game of the year and beat the crap out of them |

B/c this is the Pac-10's ranking's, they have one team out of the top 100 and other than that one team ther rest are basically are amongst the top 50 teams in the country. The argument can be made between the SEC and Pac-10 and has been a trillion times, SEC is top heavy but terrible at the bottom and Pac-10 is solid throughout. [/ QUOTE ] If I'm understanding this, then it's just dumb to me. You're saying they get more credit for one team in the top-25 with the rest in the top-50 than teams that play say one in the top-10 and two more in the top-25 with the rest out of the top-50? That's stupid to me. If you're a top-10 team, the teams out of the top-25 should be so much weaker than you are that it shouldn't matter if they're 26 or 206. |

tdarko,
No i wouldn't want a tough game in there but the question is when its all said and done is the pac 10 going to be rewarded for their tough OOC schedule? If the answer is yes than even the SEC schools should consider doing it. |

Sucks I'm pulling for FSU to beat WF this weekend so they move up in the BCS some
Them moving up over the next 2 weeks could help Florida a lot. |

I hope Tulane beats Southern Miss this weekend since, you know, it could end up deciding who plays for the national title.

Amazing that if Texas had just scheduled a cupcake instead of tOSU in week 2, they'd be undefeated and steamrolling toward the title game right now. They are being penalized for scheduling tough. Which is, I think, exactly the opposite of the way it's supposed to work.

if you're 10.5, yes ps - how old is Texas Tech in this scenario? [/ QUOTE ] You think the difference between a top-10 team and #26 is a 10 year-old vs a 10-1/2 year old? What does Texas Tech have to do with anything? I have no idea where they're ranked. |
