Fun Stat: 10, that's the number of drives in a row that Manning lead the offense to a score (the first 9 for TDs) over two games.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's nice, but ask his defense how they like going back on the field every few minutes? The Colts consistently give the time of possession edge to their opponents, hurting their defense and their overall ability to win a game. Whereas Vick can control the clock with his legs and really limit the opponent's possessions. 3000 yds passing + 1000 yds rushing > 4000 yds passing. Manning may be better now, but Vick can still become the better player.

[/ QUOTE ]

if the offense is scoring a TD every drive, I'm sure the defense doesn't mind being out there a long time

Vick is the king of inconsistancy. I like Vick, but I'm pretty sure he'll never become better than Peyton is right now. He doesn't have the talent around him especially with his receivers who are a bunch of underacheivers. The only way Vick get's much better is if they sign some big time WR.

Another problem that you face with Vick is he will get hurt. The way he plays he's bound to get hurt. Peyton hasn't missed a game yet in his NFL career. You have to think about these things. Vick is riskier play then Peyton.

lol. Let's not even throw in the fact that with each new day, Vick is a day older and a day slower. Sort of negates the "will become better" part of your theory, when, at best, you are saying they are "even" right now (and Peyton is like 4 years older). Oh wait, I guess if Vich starts throwing for 5000 yards, he'll be better. Vick is really fun to play with on Madden, but come on. Vick isn't even a top-tier quarterback.

Vick will likely never win a super bowl as a quarterback. Peyton likely will. Perhaps multiple. And even if he doesn't win one, it would likely have more to do with variance than the reason why Vick won't win one.

Vick trying to call plays at the line like Manning would be hilarious. That will never happen, there's a chance he will never be as good as Manning was even 3 years ago

Vick has never thrown for 3000 yards or run for 1000.

Every time Mike Vick takes a step forward in the passing game, he takes another step back. He is who we think he is.

He's like the Atlanta Falcons of QBs.

Hmm...
