You seem to think its impossible to make this conclusion after 3 games. Okay. I wasn't crowning anyone's ass, btw.

Meh, I mostly just wanted to slip a Denny Green reference in there.

But seriously, all the people rushing to judgment after 3-4 games is LOL. I mean, even if the unpossible happened and every team's roster went miraculously injury-free, the final standings will look nothing like they do now. Last season the Suns started something like 4-7 and were considered a playoff bubble team at best, yet they went on to the WCF and were possibly a Raja Bell calf injury away from making the Finals.

I have little doubt that, due to his character and toughness, Philip Rivers would be unaffected by a calf injury.

TSC - this team looks pretty bad - IIRC from other thread you thought this squad could get to... 35+ wins or so? I'd be really surprised by that. Offense is incoherent (well, it's just all Zach) and frequent defensive breakdowns (they no like to rotate). McMillan must be going crazy.

I think Nate was caught off-guard a bit at the mess we had down here. Nobody will say it directly but I get the feeling they're done with Miles even if they just have to eat his contract and sit him. I also have a hunch that if Zach keeps going the way he is, they will look to trade him for some younger, more stable pieces later in the season possibly in a package with Outlaw or something. I think, like Rasheed a few years ago, that Zach could be a nice piece for a contender but he just doesn't fit here. A lot of Blazer fans will disagree but that's my take on it. So I'm rooting for him to put up as many 30/10's as possible.

The team hung tough last night until I think about halfway through the third, but it looked like most of that was Zach and Zach alone. This team can't expect to beat a team like the Clips on the road, especially w/o Roy so I wasn't crushed by that loss.

I'm still just hoping for some development this year and we'll think about the 8th seed next year.

[/ QUOTE ] Its possible, but there's always the Knicks!

I think Zach is a must keep. He's to fast down low and rebounds well for a team that doesn't rebound well. Moving Outlaw wouldn't be a bad idea. He seems like a player who is good(decent) because he is young. IE, his athleticism is carrying him. I don't expect him to be an impact player in the future. He is just a young guy givin a chance only because he's on the Blazers.

Roy fallin will hurt them big time if its anything beyond 2 weeks. He was their second best player, barely, behind Z-Bo.

I think the Celtics master plan is clearly to suck horribly this year and get a franchise big man in the draft.
