*I* never do anything retarded or embarrassing in casinos. No really--I don't.

[/ QUOTE ]

This quote makes up for the retard part.

The sheer and utter torture of the guy who accused you of cheating would have been my only priority for the rest of the night.

[/ QUOTE ]

The one to make a priority of is the hag that set him up.

Look at the post (which you quoted in its entirety). Rograndom attributes two quotes to the player you would target:

"What are those cards?"

"I think those are from the last hand, you didn't give them back."

The word "cheat" is not even mentioned. Even if it is implied, don't you think it is warranted given the irregularity?

Do you think this player is wrong for pointing out that another player has four cards in front of them at showdown?

My mom was in town when I was living in Vegas and I wanted to take her to a nice restaurant. I wasn't thinking beforehand and was wearing shorts so needless to say I wouldn't be able to get in. I went over to the high stakes area and traded my clothes for his clothes in the middle of the room.

My story completely pales in comparison to anything you folks have done, but on my very first hand in a brick and mortar, I folded my big blind, both way out of turn and when I would have been able to see a free flop. When the dealer got to me, he was a big confused about where my cards went, I felt incredibly embarrassed and stammered some incomplete explanation, which was luckily clarified by the small blind who had seen what I had done and cleared up the dealer's confusion.

I was quite happy when no-one called me a donk or a retard, and one of the players sitting next to me joked in a friendly way about how he would fold his blind too.

I like to think move convinced other players I was a complete donk and earned me a couple bets later on.

It reminds me of a story I read a while back about how whenever Mike Caro would sit down at a table, he would quickly play a hand horribly, and then hope to make it back by causing people to assume he had no idea what he was doing. Except, of course, I lost only one small bet, not a whole hand!

These "first time I ever played x and I didn't know what to do" stories are great.

The first time I went to Vegas, I ended up at a blackjack table at the Rio within a few hours of landing. I had never played in a casino before, but I knew basic strategy and never figured the mechanics of the game would be an issue.

So I sit down with my friend (he's played before) at a pretty full table. A new shoe is about to start and the dealer hands me a green piece of plastic, roughly the size of a playing card, and then looks at me expectantly. I wait two or three beats, and finally look at her and deadpan: "I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with this."

She rather unamusedly explains that it's a cut card while my friend practically falls out of his chair laughing.

The closest I have to this was my first time in a strip club. This was during the golden age of Vegas strip clubs. We walked in and the place was packed. Hardly enough room to stand much less find a place to sit. This hot babe with monster cans walks up and asks "Wanna dance?". I answer "No thanks, I'm a lousy dancer".
