Read the fslexcduck elimination hand thread in TV poker forum, none of her friends are telling her to hang it up and seek other employment

[/ QUOTE ]
this hand and that hand are nothing remotely alike. if you don't see why, that is a real problem.

and i don't appreciate the sentiment that older posters don't do enough to communicate or aren't nice enough or whatever. i do a hell of a lot and considering that almost nobody who plays higher buy-ins answers newcomers' questions i'd think that would be appreciated. so my responses are terse-- i don't have time to spell out the details for everybody. i do what i can and i think it's a lot.

[/ QUOTE ]This should not be overlooked. Nath has done a great job giving back; his posts in low buy in threads tend to clear the air because the only people responding are less experienced players themselves (ourselves, I should say). Nath tends to write short (and accurate) posts, I don't generally feel like they are condesending. Just direct.

One of my first hands here: I have AK and an M of 10 and someone raises from EP. I ask "should I be provoking a coinflip here?" I genuinly didn't know how to play the hand, if perhaps calling would be better.

Nath: "Don't be a wus. Push." (or something similar).

Was all I needed to know. I now am provoking coinflips all over the place and winning small tournamnets.

I DO think the OP leanred something from Nath and was trying to say so in this thread, but it sure came off a bit funny due to the subject line wording (he was trying to be a little ironic, maybe), and he picked a very bad hand to show it with.

I do appreciate the contributions of the many great posters here. I have so much to learn. I also agree the thread could have been titled better, although Nick's Dad real intent was to give you props.

That was my intent. Even though I didn't have the odds to call I had learned from Nate that if you think you have them you need to go with it.

My subject line was my dry (seemingly poor) attempt at humor.

The whole point of my thread was to thank Nath. I also learned a couple more things about my thread. It's not the 10-2 that was wrong it was the amount.

I also learned I'm a little thinner skinned than I need to be on a forum like this.

I learned sometimes little stickies at the top of pages DO need to be looked at.

I learned no matter how much you think people should act a certain way. You can't make them be the way you want them to be.

I do want to thank Nath (and everyone else) for helping me in the past. I hope it continues.
