so

like i said eegaga

i was LOSING HARD at all these limits and whatever

so i am down $400 at 5/10 whatever. dont reall care obviously. so i go out to this place called GOAT HILL and get some beer (Rogue Brutal Bitter for those in the know). and on the way back from the bar, MY GOD im in te mood to play some poker you know? that feeling where you're just like, haha im unstoppable so i need to sit and play.

well i start playing, and BY GOLLY i swear to god that i had the worst luck ever. so i decide, you know what, im down about $600 or so. im going to sit at a 30/60 table for a little bit.

well i find this FULL TABLE which only had 4 dudes sitting at it. they were all like 17/10 or 21/11 or whatever. WOW. when i won the first hand i said, "WOW im sitting at a table full of nits." one of the nits piped up and said "you can sit with this nis HU if u wnat." i said "no sir my bankroll is only 3k . so no." he said "youre a baller"

so anyway im playing right? and i am just crushing. end up about +$1k at the 30/60 table and i quit up for the day. F U STARS. here are some GLORY HANDS BITCH.

How can he raise by $148 in a 30/60 game? Or does that mean he raised to $148 (i.e. by $28)?

Miles, you know that because of how you type/talk it's nearly impossible to tell when you're serious, right? Just checking.

So I'm taking my first Microsoft certification test today. I've been doing the job for five years, but having to actually know the book knowledge is a totally different thing. If my performance in the TestOut exam simulator is any indication, I'm in trouble. The software deployment section was an absolute embarrassment.

I'm going to breakfast soon, and taking my book. Last minute cramming might be my only chance.

Mr.Wookie,

If you haven't heard, Apple's got a bug patch for itunes 7.0 out. Hopefully that'll fix your problems.

Sweet. Thanks for telling me. I guess time will tell if it's any good.

[/ QUOTE ]

Update: I've had iTunes playing music for somewhere in the ballpark of 3-4 hours and it has NOT blue-screened my computer yet. Huzzah!

[/ QUOTE ]

Sweet, guess it's time for me to upgrade. Can't believe how long it took Apple to fix this.

[/ QUOTE ]

Scratch that. Just got another blue screen. I lasted longer than I had been, though. Oh well. Hopefully FTP has disconnect protect. Also, I have gotten bluescreens w/o any poker software running, just Trillian and Firefox. Damn you Apple!

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, it looks like they're making progress. I'll keep you posted if I find/see anything.

Which one? My job REALLY wants me to start taking some of these as I am gloriously unqualified for my job yet somehow still really really good at it.

I... can't believe it. I just can't believe it. I... passed. I passed. I PASSED YEAH BABY I [censored] PASSED WOO!

I seriously couldn't believe I passed. There was a stretch of about five questions early on where I recognized the words, but the order they were in didn't seem to make any sense to me. I figured it was all down hill from there. But I did the best I could with the situation, and got a 794 with a 700 required to pass.

You know, I was talking to Kurt (Vote4Pedro) last night, and he was letting me cry on his shoulder a bit about my downswing, 6-max not coming natural to me, and poker in general. He made the point that sometimes all you need is that one confidence booster. Well who'd have thought that it would come in the form of a networking certification? In the words of George Costanza, I'm back baby!
