This is a good idea but would cause the OT to be even longer at the end of the game. They should streamline it..none of this end of the game...commericial...coinflip for OT...commericial....OT starts.

Home teams gets to choose everytime.

Also, do WSU fans remember the 3OT apple cup in pullman a few years back (02 i think)? Gee college FB OT is exciting.

We were ranked #3 at the time, and for us to have a shot at getting into the title game, Michigan would have had to beat Ohio State. And, of course, we would have had to beat the damn Huskies.

Neither of which happened.

I think the best idea by far is the "auctioning" of the starting yard line for the offense (or alternatively, the kickoff line).

I don't think it would lengthen the game. If anything, it would lower the number of double and triple overtimes. (Though I have no idea what percentage of college games are double and triple overtimes).
