the WSOP broadcasts have turned to [censored] and it's another TV show I just cannot watch anymore...

looks like the only show I can stomach recently is Laguna Beach

Is the play THAT weak in general at the early days of the WSOP that Daniel can just call raises with anything and still have a high probability of coming out on top?

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably - the play is extremely weak.

So Negreanu had started getting on my nerves this year, after a long time of him being my favorite player to watch, but I'm a fan again after tonight. He gets lucky a lot, but he puts himself in position to get lucky while risking less, and he just cracks me up.

Australian guy: "Hmm...let's make it 15000"
Negreanu: "O RLY? Let's make it 15000 with your 6's or 4's?"
I know it was pretty clear what he had, but I thought it was hilarious.

Is anyone else getting a little tired of DN berating the amateurs? I think he came off as a prick in the hand with the Australian guy. Seemed like he was just pissed that the guy had him beat and so he started to make fun of him. Also, the constant declarations of what the other player had, whether accurate or not, gets old after a while and he just comes off as a know-it-all. It's like he's constantly trying to prove his superior status just because he is Daniel Negraneu and everybody else at the table is just Internet nobodies.

I think you're dead wrong on this. My take is that every comment he makes has a purpose. While he's talking, he's checking for reactions (tells) to help him play the hand. And he's obviously very good at it as his reads are impeccable.

I was disappointed he went against his read when he had A5 vs AQ with the 589TT board and the Norwegian guy checked the Turn and went all-in on the River. He knew exactly what the guy was doing but for some reason couldn't pull the trigger on the call.

I've taken flack for liking him, but I dig his sense of humor... he's hysterical in my opinion.

I never paid much attention, until recently, but Lon does a fairly good job of being a sidekick as well.

I love that Moneymaker said "insta-called".

[/ QUOTE ]

That part was hilarious. He said it like it increases the odds you win more than just plain old "calling".

Norm was very entertaining in this one...

And Carlos' ex is a hottie MILF...

And being around that Schulman chick for more than 30 seconds would provoke suicidal thoughts for me...
