This was on Day Two, though. There's no telling whether you would have gotten into the money in the first place.

Like I said I have next to nothing live tournament experience and I did not take a while to act on my hand in fact he may have called a floor menu within a minute and I did not FOR SURE know that a clock had started.

3 hours away from the money and a lot of that time will be stalling. I think its possible.

Disregarding the clock issue entirely, I'm still unclear why you would've folded your hand if you knew there were only 3 diamonds on board instead of 4.

You thought there were 4 - that makes the turn and river calls really odd. If you knew there were only 3, your calls actually make some sense - you just got unlucky.

So I still don't understand what more time would've gained you.

Yes, I was an ounce or 2 seconds away from folding. The injustice was that a clock was exercised in around a minute, I was not aware of the clock, my hand was pronounced dead, the floor reversed their decision and gave me 30 freaking seconds.
In other words I felt I was screwed.

"Why on earth do you possibly care what the table thinks?"

Because I was completely confused that the clock was called. I expected a reasonable amount of time. I looked at the guy once after I flipped it up and mainly because I was upset at his behavior.

Pretty soon a floor person announces "3,2, ok your hand is dead". I say I'm not even aware that a clock had started

First yo don't then you do?
