see my earlier post. i'm 6' 210. you'd have to make me an offer, i'm not sure exactly what i would do. and you don't pass out since you puke every two beers so you don't even get drunk.

[/ QUOTE ]

you really think you can force yourself to puke after every 2 beers, for 44 beers straight? if that's your strategy i'm definitely in. by the time you stopped being able to puke due to one reason or another, you'd probably be so tired/weak from the chain-vomiting that you wouldn't be able to drink anymore anyway.

i did 24 in 35 minutes during frat pledging my freshman year. this would be very easy, you just chug two beers and then puke, chug two beers, puke, and repeat. i was slightly buzzed after the 35 minutes and had a sore throat and felt like [censored], but an hour later was fine other than sore throat. i'm pretty sure i could 44 in 2 hours if i wanted to bad enough.

fwiw, i'm 6' and 210 and a pretty big drinker.

what else would it have to do with? sure it helps to be big and have a high tolerance for alcohol. but its not that big of a deal when you realize that you are throwing up basically all the beer and liquid. i'm saying this with experience, its about willingness to throw up more than anything.

Ive done 30 beers in like 6-8 hours more than a few times...

44 beers in 12 hours, is definatly doable, albeit very tough probably. Personally I dont think I could do it, but if puking is allowed then I think your buddy should have no problem doing it assuming he drinks regularly and has a high tolerance and isnt a tiny guy.

Ok, I wanna chime in here. First off, I want to echo what NT and a few others have said, that there is really no "macho" factor that we need to consider here. Its really just physiology. I think the speed at which you drink them is key, and I really like the strategy of just beer bonging about 8 of them, immediately puking, and then hydrating for a little while. But those who mentioned that you are going to be losing all of this bile and stomach acid, etc., from all of this vomiting...its not as much as you'd think. These aren't dry heaves and you aren't going to be emptying your stomach, you will just be pushing out a lot of beer. I throw up a lot (consider this the opposite of the frat boy brag) and when you are chock full of beer it isnt nearly the same experience. You shouldn't be dehydrating that much, and like NT said, if you quickly drink some water and rest in between, I think this is definitely doable. I'm not going to volunteer to do this, mostly because none of you know me and would probably not be interesteded in betting me. But I definitely wouldn't give any action on this as the rules are presently stated.

I didn't know we were allowing any liquid other then beer in this challenge. I thought it was just the contestant, 44 beers, and a 12 hour time limit. A toilet too, I guess.

Nobody said otherwise so I assumed it was okay.

I'm interested to know what price people would want to try this.

EDIT: It would be more interesting with an escalating per-beer payout, say starting at $.25 and doubling for each beer consumed.

NT

[/ QUOTE ]
That payout structure would result in something like $130 for drinking 9 beers. Maybe a stepped structure that changes to escalating after a case? Like $1 for drinking 1-5 beers, $4 drinking 6-10, $15 drinking 11-15, $25 16-20, $50 20-24, then escalating per beer after that?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was trying to set myself up a sweet bet here RDH

I think your structure is pretty good too, if I were doing this I would definitely look to make at least $1k for success, maybe more. It's not going to be fun.

All frat boys, back off. I was the first to volunteer for an OOT challenge here. Loc: NYC. There are plenty of people here to verify and videotape.

With throwing up allowed, if he makes himself puke instead of waiting for the urge he'll do it. Last St. Patrick's day I had 35 beers and 5 shots from 9am-2am.
