Today I played with Dutch Boyd. He acted very very slowly at all times and has definitely gained alot of weight. He was polite in the fact that he signed a few autographs while playing [/ QUOTE ] What kind of person wants Dutch Boyd's autograph? Were these poker players, or members of the Bipolar Support Society who'd come along to rail one of their own? OTOH, perhaps they were having him sign blank cheques while he was distracted, in the hope of getting their monies back? |

Re: Official Rio/Bellagio Gossip Thread
Yeah, you're probably joking...but it still might be worth pointing out that most people who have only seen Dutch on TV don't know about the pokerspot stuff and probably just view him as some cool dude who plays poker on ESPN while wearing a doo-rag.
Some people actually bought in to the 'coolness' factor of 'The Crew'. Oh the power of marketing. |

Re: Official Rio/Bellagio Gossip Thread
Super standard for Hansu too. At Commerce one timme Ali was giving him some awesome needling and Hansu just snapped and started saying things like "you should be careful who you talk to Ali you might not wake up tomorrow" and on and on for a half hour with Ali loving every minute of it and the rest of the table pretty sure Hansu was going to attack him.

Re: Official Rio/Bellagio Gossip Thread
[ QUOTE ]
Later that day I'm just walking through the card room when I see Brandi for the first time. The next 2 seconds happened as if it were in slow motion. I kind of glanced back at her when I was walking by because I was like "oh there's brandi" in my mind, and she noticed and looked at me, fully knowing that I recognize her and must be a 2p2er. So I look away and there's Sklansky walking towards her, and I see him and then look back at her and then look back at him and I start smirking a bit. They both just kinda look at me and I walk by. [/ QUOTE ] This sounds like the Zapruder film in slow motion or the spitting scene from Seinfeld. Did anybody get shot or spat upon? |

WSOP Bracelt winner Todd 'DanDruff" Witteles is posting that the dealers are getting hosed again, only receiving 1.25% of the 3% taken out for dealer tokes.

Re: Official Rio/Bellagio Gossip Thread
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I saw Layne Flack hand Shawn Sheikan a significant amount of $100 bills at the Rio Also if Bicyclekick can comment, some older guy in a big LHE game challenged a slim asian kid in a black hoodie to play heads-up angrily and the asian kid kinda put him down, it was sorta entertaining and BK was sitting on an infinite amount of green chips and could maybe comment unless its retardedly standard. [/ QUOTE ] That's paul and han su (spelled wrong i'm sure). Paul was messed up on coke and alcohol he said he always gets like that. It is retardedly standard. He always challenges everyone and everyone puts their money where their mouth is but unlike last year, he's just all talk. He was calling everyone que ers and fa ggots and other thinsg and just being belligerent. It's amazing how much the bellagio and pro's put up with when a guy is going off. Some guy brought him a glass of whine and he chugged it real quick cause he said he'll get kicked out if he has a drink at the table. I don't know the details of that, tho. Han su went off on him tho and it was really funny cause it really backed paul down. He said something like "if you want [censored] to get real paul it can get real really quick. We can settle this cause I'm sick of you talking [censored]" or something. It was funny how carmen escorted han su out of there...she 'scooted' him to the high limit section. Just cracked me up. She handled it well. [/ QUOTE ] Same thing happened last year with Paul and Newhouse. They were playing 400-800, and Paul challenged Mark heads up. The two went to the Venetian to "hide" from the rest of the high limit crowd, in order to avoid others from seeing and joining their HU game. After a short time, Bryan Micon happened to walk through the Venetian room. He spied the Paul/Newhouse game, called me and neverwin, and suddenly the game became 4-handed. Paul objected at first, but finally shut his mouth and continued the game. Well, he didn't shut his mouth, but at least he didn't quit. |

But from what I remember, it was more Cassidy's fault. |
