the obvious play here is call. you have been waiting to stack this guy, you have a set and he pushes into you with AA? you probably took a bad beat if you called (hence thinking about it for the past months) or else you should have called (but it sounds like you are well off at this point so you woulnt think about it so much)

We all just want to see the damn results after reading so much into this. Obviously we want to know if he called off half his net worth

Guys,

The results really don't matter. In fact to make that point I hope the OP doesn't post them. All that matters is making the right decision in this situation and all others to the best of one's ability.

BluffThis,

I just shot the dog. I hope you're happy.

forgive me if someone has asked this, i can't be bothered with 77 "call" replies... would this hand be interesting if he held 222? what do we think then?

[/ QUOTE ]

I insta-call here w/ AK vs the villain described.

[/ QUOTE ]

I have nothing but respect for your game, but being this deep and instacalling an open push with AK is suicide.

Also FWIW I've run into plenty of seemingly bad players (who actually are winning players) that will open push or CR huge with the current nuts when there is a flush draw present.

He has pocket twos or pocket aces. If you got bad beat, I'm sorry.

If you folded, you're a female reproductive organ.
