Re: New Software- IdleMiner
I think leaving a resident version of the app running all the time, that the screen saver could connect too and issue commands too would quickly solve your child process problem. The resident module would actually do the actions, the screen saver would merely connect to it and issue commands. None of the processes started by the resident module would then be killed when windows killed the screen saver processes.

Is there a way to make this work with Empire as well?

Re: New Software- IdleMiner
Can someone comment more about whether there are advantages to using this over the 2 free apps (which I personally don't use)?
Also, I'll just add my voice to the chorus that I would be a lot more interested in the app if it could be used at other sites, particularly Stars. |

Re: New Software- IdleMiner
We believe our software is much easier to use than any of the other current options. It packages everything you need for datamining in one spot and has an easy to use interface. We also will be supplying support and updates whenever needed.

[ QUOTE ] Does it work on different games (i.e. stud & omaha) or just holdem? [/ QUOTE ] Currently the software only works for holdem. That may be something we will be able to work on. [/ QUOTE ] Once you get this going for Omaha HiLo, shoot me a pm thanks |

[/ QUOTE ] This is just my personal opinion, so take it for what you will. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I feel that $50 is not a lot to pay for a program that speeds things up. I know a lot of people on this site seem to hate to pay for stuff, but honestly, $50 is so little to pay, if the software saves me hours of time. I mean, we all know what our winrate is, so we should all be able to value some x hours saved by a program. |

This program works exactly like party mine did. The only thing I prefer about iWitness is that you could set priority to the limits you want to mine since early morning hours may not have a full 12 tables of your prefered limit going. This program also uses significantly less resources than FPHG. I may have an outdated hand grabber though. |

Re: New Software- IdleMiner
Couple of quick questions.
(1) I notice that the default seems to be set on 4 tables. I'm just curious whether there is any particular reason for that choice, such as the possibility that the program works better limiting it to 4 tables. (2) Can I play at one table simultaneously with your program datamining from other tables? Or will any table that I open be added automatically to the list of tables that are being datamined? |

Re: New Software- IdleMiner
1) The Default is set to 4 tables for no real reason. It works just as well for 1-12 tables. However, if you do not have remember me checked at the login screen you can only open 4 tables.
2) You cannot use idleminer while you are playing. It is designed to datamine while you are away from the computer. |
