Seattle was very stupid for overpaying for SA and giving up Hutch no matter what the cost was.

Watching him in college left me with a large man crush on Reggie Bush.

I think Peterson is a MUCH better back for the pro game. However, he needs to run with more care for his body, or he's going to miss a fuckload of games.

Injuries happen to all RBs. Avoiding the hits is obviously a useful skill but eventually injuries will happen to everybody. You can only hope its not too serious such as an ACL.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes, everybody gets hurt. Some people get hurt a lot more than others because they insist on jumping around and throwing themselves into people without any regard for their own goodwill.

[/ QUOTE ]

Alot of times they get injured trying to avoid the injury rather than just running hard.

Surely much of his success is due to his attitude. It's about how you approach the game. I was a hell of a lot better/more successful at NLHE when I was more reckless. If AP "learns" to be more careful with his body, it will decrease his value significantly.

[/ QUOTE ]

Even though I agree with your point, this is a horrible analogy

Marion Barber is probably the best chain to chain guy. If I had 3 and 5 and I needed to pick someone to get the first down it would be him. He has had less carries than Peterson this year, but has been really good.
If you factor in receiving a healthy Ronnie Brown was having an incredible year before getting injured without receiving he was just having a very good year.
Brian Westbrook is always incredibly underrated he is basically a number 2 receiver and a starting rb.
Addai is also very good, but I have no idea how he would do on worse teams.

[/ QUOTE ]

None of those RBs are playing close to ADP right now.

note: i don't know if what JoA is saying is true, since I know basically nothing about statistical analysis of football beyond the basic DVOA stuff. it makes sense, though, and it's something i've long thought true about runs in baseball.

Adrian Peterson can come round my house and partake in some hardcore inter-racial homoerotica after his performance last night.

I do not want to hijack and threads here for questions about the countdown. There is an "Assani Fisher countdown speculation" thread in About the Forums forum....I'm much more likely to answer questions there than here because, as I said, I don't want to take away from this thread.
