Re: Week 4 NCAA early lines thread
[ QUOTE ]
How do people feel about Oklahoma/Tulsa Over 67? Isn't Tulsa supposed to be a real run-and-gun? They and BYU had about 1300 total yards last week. Won't Oklahoma have to score quite a bit to beat the spread? [/ QUOTE ] Tulsa is run & gun (no huddle, spread offense implemented this year). They can move the ball & score. BYU shot themselves in the foot with 4 turnovers last Sat. vs. Tulsa (one got returned for a score), with all 4 occurring in Tulsa territory. Their spread offense is entering game #3 with a newer OL. I would think Okla D will give them some trouble. Tulsa's D against a topflight program like OK will have major problems. BYU moved at will (run & pass) at UL-Monroe stud RB had 150 yards in the first game (and UL-Monroe, a Sun Belt team, isn't very good except for RB). I don't know if I can lay the 23 v. a good Tulsa team. I'm likely not touching the game. After a solid Week 1, I'm now 3-5 YTD. My lean would be to lay the points. |

Re: Week 4 NCAA early lines thread
I'm considering a few totals, what do you guys think?
N.Ill/Idaho <48.5 Penn St/Mich <47.5 Mia O/ Col >50 Geo/Bama >50 Also why would Pinnacle keep the N.Mex St/Aub total at 51.5 and move the vig to -146/+134 instead of moving the total number up? Thx |

Re: Week 4 NCAA early lines thread
I capped it as a 57 point total, but I knew it was way off somehow.
Anyway, I added 5 totals today to bring my weekly slate to a large number. I hate that. i try to keep it below 10, but I like my perceived edges. Here's the slate: Arizona @ California -17 Kentucky +7 @ Arkansas Connecticut @ Pittsburgh -7.5 San Jose State +1 @ Utah State Purdue -11.5 @ Minnesota Duke @ Navy -10 Georgia Tech -3 @ Virginia Penn State @ Michigan U49.5 South Carolina @ LSU O45.5 Miami (OH) @ Colorado U49.5 Northwestern @ Ohio State U46.5 Georgia Tech @ Virginia U40.5 Purdue @ Minnesota O70 Oregon @ Stanford O60 14 picks, a little high for me, but oh well. |

Lot of movement here in the last few minutes. Michigan and Notre Dame getting pounded.
Again. *rim shot* |

Re: Week 4 NCAA early lines thread
I guess this is what Dr. Bob releasing his picks looks like. Talk about volatility.
I got Cal -13.5 and So. Car. +18.5 amongst the rubble. |

Re: Week 4 NCAA early lines thread
South Carolina getting 18.5 is just insanity. Didn't SC just beat UGA on the road? Did someone crown LSU God of Football Teams when I wasn't looking? You're taking Les Miles and laying 18.5 to Spurrier?
South Carolina +18.5 = play of the year Edit: Did I mention LSU has the worst starting tailback in Division I? |
