Re: Pokerstars\' crack security team at work!
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I'd tell PS to send it back as you don't know this person. Any unauthorised transfers should not be taken lightly and it is correct for PS to take this seriously and wrong of you to dismiss it. Once you clear up you don't know this person and do not want any transfers from them you should be in the clear. [/ QUOTE ] QFS [/ QUOTE ] quoted for not looking at time & date stamps. |

[/ QUOTE ] 1) OP was complaining, fairly obviously, about being unable to play at high stakes because of a one cent transaction. 2) That is a fairly significant opportunity cost 3) You should read the whole thread before replying |

Re: Pokerstars\' crack security team at work!
How did this thread come back from the dead over a year later?
Anyway, it was fun re-reading it and laughing at some of the wacky responses defending Stars' actions on this one. There was absolutely no reason to freeze my account. If they were really so concerned that MY account had been compromised as well, they could have easily called me and straightened it out right away. This was basically a complete disgregard for common-sense handling of a security situation. Instead, they went into panic mode and froze every account that had ever received (literally) 1 penny from HoldumGod. There was nothing to be gained or protected from freezing my account. Period. |
