don't mean to actually talk strategy here, but once the turn gets played like that JJ shouldn't be in his hand range. BUT, since it is clear that he plays a hand played like that on the turn (there are lots of retarded TAGs out there) his range is larger than just hands beating us when the river is raised.

How bad can I possibly run to be a loser at this [censored] site? Awesome 2barrell bluff into 2 players. Sweet river overcall.

for those that have played LHE 6 max games for a while now, how beneficial was reading stox's book to your game?

the only other hands that'll raise the river are AdKd and AdQd and the amount of retarded action these hands have put in on the flop and turn plus the fact that they're only two combos means you're still not looking hot when raised on the river. plus, the turn isn't exactly a blank for JJ, and there are only 6 combos of 66+77 that beat it (though i agree the raise is stupid). also, just because JJ can be in his range on the turn absolutely does not mean AA-QQ can be in his range on the river. players very rarely would play AA-QQ like that on the turn and river, whereas many would overplay JJ on the turn. of those who overplay the turn, 100% of them raise the river.

summary:

- raising JJ on turn is bad, yes.
- capping flop, raising turn, and raising river with AK/AQ diamonds is many times worse.
- AA-QQ make no sense.
- don't reraise.
