Matt, Congrats for making this tournament happen so quickly. This is great for poker. Wow I hate flying. I'm going to have to figure this one out. Seems like it may be worth it. I can't imagine that a private plane is a serious suggestion. Isn't there an Owning Mahoney character out there who has a few hundred k in comps and a desire for a quick LA to Wynn Macau jaunt? So it looks like it's about 20hrs from LA no matter how you do it. Pretty brutal. Anyone have sidetrips planned before or after? BA [/ QUOTE ] Thanks Brandon, I would imagine that there will be many people looking into side trips and I information will be available there on site. Matt |

I'm from Boston, but I'll be coming directly from Bangkok. Anyone going to be in Thailand before/after the tournament?

Why is everyone so concerned about the ferry? You can always get the Airport Express train to Central HK and catch the Turbojet Ferry - it runs 24/7. It'll take a bit longer but you'll have been flying so long it doesn't really make that much difference.

Cause you have to go through customs twice from what I hear? Amirite or am I making [censored] up. Plus going through Hong Kong with no working Cantonese speaker can be tough.

[/ QUOTE ] I have heard this as well. I would want to make sure I can take the ferry that leaves directly from the HK airport. |

Re: The APPT Macau: The First Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament in China!
Getting a taxi from the Airport Express station to the Macau ferry terminal should be no problem even speaking English only. Possibly more confusing at the terminal itself, however all signage is in English also. Those ferries run all night so it is a viable option if you can't get the one from the airport. That however does sound more convenient and saves schleping into Hk and back out again.
