[ QUOTE ]
Things I learned playing tihs event: 1) Limit tournaments are a surefire way to go on life tilt 2) Freddy Deeb is a very nice guy who will straight up go crazy and snap on anybody who mildly bothers him whenever he's lost a couple pots (he was nice to me but he got in altercations with Nick Frangos and Tuan Le while steaming). 3) The level of play was way lower than I expected: Nick Frangos and Daniel Negreanu played well (although Frangos played a couple hold 'em hands poorly) but everyone else was pretty bad that I played with (either that or unexceptional/unimpressive). D'ags seemed solid but was too shortstacked for me to tell so don't interpret this as a diss of him. 4) Nobody I played with seemed to know how to play limit hold 'em (except for negreanu). 5) A few tables had a person missing early in the tournament and every time somebody sat down late at a different table the people at the tables with open seats celebrated because it meant that there was still a chance Phil Hellmuth would be at their table. [/ QUOTE ] I found it absolutely amazing that Juanda raised a 2 opener next to act with a 9 in Stud 8/better. There was a 3, a 5 and me in position with an ace behind him. Im trying to figure out if this guy is just thinking 3 levels deeper than me or if he just has no concept of the game. I am leaning towards the latter. Even though many tournaments have insignificant play in the early levels it kind of ticked me off that it was possible for a tight player like me to be so severely crippled after Day 1. I mean I would think that a 50K entry would at least entitle you to a couple days of bad cards and cold decks. |

I totally spent far too long trying to figure out what the term "leaning towards the ladder" means.

He has been killing it all month long, and was at the top of the leader board here all day, and then suddenly he is busto. That's a lot of chips to lose so quickly playing limit. Bad run, bad beats or monkey tilt?

Or they forgot to add 1 zero... It would make much more sense, as it would mean he has 350.000 stack & dropped for 40.000.

Downswing is probably calculated automatically, based on what chip count they enter... (and/or vice-versa)
