Re: OOT, What is your life situation?
[ QUOTE ]
I don't beleive you. [/ QUOTE ] There is a MASSIVE shortage of female students here. That's typical for most engineering schools. I had one class last semester that had 22 students, all male--and I didn't even notice for like four weeks. That's how bad the ratio is. [ QUOTE ] And if it is true - join a frat obviously. [/ QUOTE ] The frats around here typically don't recruit juniors. I mean, by the time I would be done with rush, the process after, etc. I would only have a year left. If I took an internship along the way, I'd be in the frat for like a semester. |

Re: OOT, What is your life situation?
I go to RPI. They gave me by far the best scholarship deal (free ride with room, laptop, books, etc. and a monthly stipend).

Also going to get my own place in the next 6 - 10 months with a bit of luck and hopefully have 2-3 of my friends move in with me...That will be mental and hopefully help me tie up some of my loose ends Vava |

- Poker player. I like to jump stakes a lot, but mostly 1/2-3/6 NL when I'm grinding. 10/20 when I feel like gambling. - Engaged to be married in a month. - I'm pretty happy with my life, although a little anxious about the future. I'm getting interested in the financial markets. Right now I enjoy my free time to do my hobbies and live life the way I want to. But I may start looking starting a business or getting a job at a hedge fund or something in the semi-distant future. |

Re: OOT, What is your life situation?
I turned 25 in September.
I am a professional poker player. Online I am a proposition limit hold'em player, stakes ranging from 2/4 to 15/30, mostly in the upper end of that range. Live I play all forms of limit poker, 15/30 and up to, on one memorable occasion, 75/150 w/ full kill. This is my third year as a professional and by far my most profitable one. I am single. I have, in fact, never had a real girlfriend, just one night stands and awkward quasi-relationships. I'm kind of at a loss for why this is. I am almost never what I would call 'happy.' I am generally 'meh' spiced with semi-regular intervals of 'miserable' or 'flipping the [censored] out.' As best I can tell, this is largely due to loneliness and low social capital. I live among strangers, my work and primary recreation are very poor social outlets, and my friends in Atlanta, in one way or another, simply don't have the time / energy / inclination to be much more than casual, occasional acquaintances. This problem dominates my life and my thinking, yet I don't really have the tools or the temperament to come up with any ready solutions. On the other hand, I do what I please and have more money than I currently really know what to do with, which have got to be serious plusses in a lifestyle. |
