Speaking of quests, back in the May LC thread I mentioned that I cashed out my whole roll and had $40 in my account. I challenged myself to grind my way back up to $2/$4 (where I had been playing) all the way from .01/.02.

It has been painful at times, but I'm on my way. I also played one $10 rebuy PLO tourney and got 4th for like $400 or so. Update:

Would I be correct to assume that you moved up to PLO 50 after the $400 tourney win? Otherwise, it looks like you moved there with a $500 roll.

yeah it might have been more than $400 too i forget. But I started taking shots at plo50 w/ a 20bi roll and currently have about 40bi and will take shots at plo100 when I have 30bi for that level.

also I went on an 18bi downswing at plo25 at one point, and I had been playing 2 tables of plo50 and 2 of plo25 when that started. So I moved back down until I righted the ship for a bit.

I'm a big fan of buying in at a site and working up the levels rather than just buying in big. Poker cash games are a marathon rather than a sprint. Far too many people end up busto by not being patient.

Sometimes they're tough calls for me to make. Anyone can put something on the borderline and continue to test my judgment. It's kind of like playing a poker hand. The tougher your opponent makes it, the more likely you are to make a mistake in judgment.

I'm trying to respond to another poster on this very forum, and it involves strategy, perhaps an insight that has not occurred to you. But I keep getting distracted by crap like this. As long as I'm doing the moderator thing, I feel I should respond to your various complaints, but it's distracting - and probably not very beneficial to the group.

Cut me a break, huh?
