Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I would put Cleveland and Anaheim over any NL team, but that's about it. I'd put the Red Sox over Arizona and the Cubs, and about even with the Phillies and Rockies. Arizona is worse than any AL team in the playoffs. [/ QUOTE ] Considering the Yankees and Red Sox are the two best teams in the AL, and therefore the majors, this does not make sense. [/ QUOTE ] Considering the Yankees and Red Sox lost five of six to the Colorado Rockies, this makes perfect sense. FYP. |

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
As much as it's fun to clown the downie kid for not grasping sample size and stuff, it's equally frue that being the better team isn't that important over a 7 game series.
Signed, Watching your team win 116 games and knowing that it's meaningless eats a bag of dicks. |

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
BTW, anyone check Peavy's postseason stats lately?
Not pretty. 0-2, 9.2 IP, 19 H, 13 R, 13 ER, 3 HR, 4 BB, 5 SO, a WHIP around 2.4. Of course, today's a different day. |

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
Luckily for the Padres, today's game counts as a regular season game!

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
i think if fogg pitches OK this one is definitely going to the rockies.
i expect a very good but not "super amazing" perforance from peavy but i don't think the padres can produce enough offense without bradley to overcome the main 5 from the rockies. plus spilbourghs and matsui are not exactly offensive slouches. the rockies just have too much offense and bullpen if fogg can pitch semi-ok. |

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
There is nothing more retarded than picking individual baseball games.
Although picking against Jake Peavy might be up there. |

Re: finally gonna have a tiebreaker game
If we can get 5 good innings from Fogg this team can compete with anyone.
