Re: Should we really care??
MicroBob.
They actually start games up or if a table breaks, they will sit there until someone joins them. From my data, they seem to be winning no matter how many people sit. And here's another thing. EVERY SINGLE TIME they play from the SB headsup, they raise. EVERY ONE OF THEM. Every time. It seems to be about 65% |

IIRC the 2 word thing that seems to be a commonality among most of these players is similar to a previous bot issue. Maybe the players who were accused of being bots back when WPEX first went 100% RB (might have been April, somebody can do a search) or maybe it was 20 or 30 push-bots on the Party $22 SNG's several mths ago. It's also interesting that this guy has apparently found such a way to beat the Party 6-max games by almost always defending in BB and generally playing really agg pre-flop (and probably just pushing and pushing all the way to river unless completely miss the board AND opp shows agg). Previously I would not have thought it very easy to program a bot to win at limit 6-max but his system appears to be yielding decent results. Also interesting his strategy of usually having each bot play only one table and never with each other. Playing at same table with each other runs the risk of getting involved in pots with each other and simply passing money back and forth and losing to the rake. And not having any one of the bots play multiple tables perhaps makes it less likely they will be noticed. Finally, do we have any data on them playing when the table gets less than 6-handed? I'd be interested to learn if they stay on the tables through 5-handed and shorter play or if they just leave. At 4-handed and shorter I would think it would be tougher for them to be winning players. But I wouldn't have thought it very likely that such bots could be winners at 6-handed either so I just don't know anymore. [/ QUOTE ]Acually what i found interesting is that their AF(looking at otis`s screenshot) was not high at all.AF on flop in the 1.7 range actually seems odd for a bot.Im obviously not an expert lol,but you would think with a PFR in the 25% range that number would be much higher for a programmed non-thinking entity.Even some really successful limit players seem to continue bets post flop at a much higher rate, alot of times oblivious to the fact that waiting for the turn to fire would be the better play mathmatically. If these players are bots, they are eithor really really good ones,or just absolutely murdering players on the button and in the blinds.Or maybe both. |

Re: Should we really care??
I don't have a lot to add to the conversation other than if someone did create a bot that wins at a decent rate at midstakes it wouldnt be very hard to not be detected. Think about it if you can set two screens w/ your bots playing all you have to do is watch out of the corner of your eye for the squiggly line detection box while you watch porn or something. Doesnt matter what kind of detection verification such as the picture recognition because it would be well worthwhile to just browse on one screen and watch your bots own on the others. In the same line talking to the player clearly proves nothing since they can randomly answer a player if they choose to make you think its not a bot.

When do these guys start showing up in your DB? All around the same time? A while ago?

Re: Should we really care??
Hey 5th Street.
I have won at about 1.4BB over my last 150,000 hands playing 5/10 and 10/20 and my aggression is only 1.7 I'm a bit of a "showdown monkey" and these guys are too. It can definitely work and is probably much easier to program. |

Re: Should we really care??
There is one game at 10/20 running with 5 players. No bots.
Have they been removed? |
