Agree with OP, if you love animals at all, My Dog Skip will have you crying hysterically like a mental patient.

Also, Field of Dreams and It's a Wonderful Life.

And I know it's TV not a movie, but the last 5 minutes of Six Feet Under gets me every time.

Land Before Time
Braveheart

And I always like to laugh at the fact that my brother cried watching E.T.

Just watched a documentary last night called "The Bridge" -- it's about people who commit suicide by leaping from the Golden Gate.

Really, really sad. And it's *real* sad, not the made up Hollywood kind. (Not belittling sad movies, but it definitely has a different impact when it's real and you see it happening.)

Not sure, but in the year the movie was made (2004) there were 24 suicides. There was at least one survivor (he was interviewed for the movie). Three bodies were never found.

I remember reading when this came out how good it was. I really should rent this.

If I recall correctly, the filmmakers were originally just trying to make a flick about the Golden Gate bridge, but they kept seeing people jump or come up and hang around thinking about jumping, so suddenly they found themselves making a different movie.
