I'm officially tired of Sammy and Eli on this show. Time for people that can actually play NLHE.

ronitonline,

Here's what I think, and I know only as much as you do. First, the players on the show who have played with him before give him respect (I'm talking about Phil and Antonio, mostly).

Second, his body language and talk could just be his personality; not every winning cash player has to be Brad Booth. Playing against Sammy in lagtard mode, you have to make big calls with one pair, but you don't have to like it.

But here's the biggest point: his style is very well-suited to that lineup (including the big bets; it's very similar to what Barry G plays like against the same guys, imo), and we don't know if that is by chance or if he is good at adjusting. I think the latter is more likely, but I could be wrong.

It literally makes me sick to watch that donk Mike Baxter play. Sure he's a nice guy and all, but wow he overplays everyhand so bad. Such as the set over set hand, I mean come on. Does he ever know how to slow down?

I have been watching this season thinking 'wow, this Baxter fella is solid, smart, and civil; I wish there more people like him on televised poker' and then I come here and there's hate. I have to admit, I am very surprised.

JoeDimaggio,
There were a ton of draws, and EE's not a fan of folding. Betting big reduces his implied odds, it may make him more suspicious of a bluff, and it is consistent with the rest of Baxter's play (he can't bet big all the time then "slow down" as soon as he actually has a big hand).

I honestly think some of you guys are prejudiced against people who aren't "name" donkament pros. (Speaking of, DN is playing quite well of late.)

I don't dislike the guy personally or anything. I'm sure he's a good person and all and I'm really not rooting against him or anything. It's just hard for me to watch him on HSP. Usually when people play pots as big as he opts to in no limit with medium strength hands, they lose a lot of money. So don't misinterpret my comment. Classy guy, but lucky he didn't lose a big number.

wow I'm really starting to hate 2+2.The two times I post here I get berated and made fun of and then most of you guys make fun of the pros because they have a couple bad hands on TV. Im pretty sure all the pros could beat the online games at the highest levels and are probably beating them right now. Don't say the pros are terrible when you can barely beat the 1/2 on full tilt. If online players were better then the HSP game pros then they would be in Las Vegas playing live. Plain and Simple.
