ok i usually stay out of the online soap operas, but real quick.
alex that was super lame what he did to you.
antonio is a nice guy so stop all the hate.
and shane for the last time there is no way phil could/would ever confuse bellagio flags with the commerce 5K chips.
in fact he never even has any bellagio flags on the table.
also from the many hours i've played with phil i can def. see the situation going down the way the 2nd person described in which case its not even close to an angle shoot.

however what he did to alex was def. scummy.

1) I have no problem with what Laak did.
2)Anyone who thinks he confused chips is a retard. Even if these 100 dollar chips look exactly like 5 chips from somewhere else- why the [censored] would he ever just call with the nuts last to act on the river?

Ok for the last time: I was stoned! But seriously...I was just wildly speculating that IF both types of chips were in play, that would provide a prop for Laak to execute the trickeery. It was hypothetical rambling.

If Phil checkraised Alex big, but still had chips left, would thinking that Phil's stack was 2k less have made any of a difference to Alex? After all we has putting in the 3rd bet on the flop.

I can see underreporting your stack and inducing someone to call when you have the nuts or next to the nuts as being very wrong in most instances, but the way this story was called I can't figure out WTF happend and why it is so terrible.

I believe super clowns refers to their personalities and is an apt description.

whether you think its an angle shoot or not people do those things. and in this case the guy who called didnt have any the worst of it if phil just raised and said so. this guy could have folded or called, or even said okay i accept your mistake and it is a call. and probably would have it ruled as such. but either way the final decision was on the caller and he thought he was getting a free bone and found there was no meat on it. tough break.

if you ever followed some of my older posts i would always tell players not to act until the action was over. if you do its your own risk. so if a player hasnt pushed all his money in and you act tough luck. just wait.

also where he gave a false count of his remaining money. in poker if you are smart just ask the pot to be made right before continuing on. if a player waves his hands and says allin. wait and tell him you want the pot made right and push the money in. if you are in such a hurry to yell out call, then what happens next is your fault. live poker is not what is on tv.
