Re: What would you do if you could start your life over from 19??
1) Avoid Running injuries by training a little less hard
2) Attend class and try a little in college 3) Try to get some Killer summer jobs (monetarily or for prestige, using connections and whatever else at my dispossal) 4)Not blow moderate sized "nest egg" parents gave me as graduation present. I can't even begin to fathom how much I could have done with that money if I had simply left in invested. 4) Go to a MUCH more affordable law school. There is no reason to pay more than "State school" money for eductation. 5) Start saving WAY earlier. 6) Avoid pointless marriage followed by quick divorce right after college. 7) Spend more time with my father. 8) Found a way to buy a little real-estate here and there. |

I really don't understand everyone's fascination with having more sex. [/ QUOTE ] It's sex. It's great. |

Re: What would you do if you could start your life over from 19??
mmbt0ne,
I am 34. I am married, and I love my wife. I'm not going to ever have sex with anyone else again. Ever. Yes, I do somewhat cherish my memories of my youthful dalliances, and I wish I had more of them. I also wish I had spent more time traveling when I had fewer responsibilities because I can't now. It doesn't mean I'm not happy with the way things are now, but I should have taken more advantage of the opportunities I had when I had them. |

It also does not explain why everyone just wishes for it with a ton of random girls. Why don't you all wish you had it with an amazing partner, a sword swallower, an acrobat, a yogini, a tantric sex mistress? Is being hot the only prerequisite for these experiences to satisfy? Is it not the sex at all but the conquering?

lfs,
"but I should have taken more advantage of the opportunities I had when I had them. " I am in total agreement with that. However, I don't feel like I've blown any opportunities that I can't still accomplish. It's just that the sex thing seems like the least useful of all of them to me, outside on the Clintonian virgin. It's not like me getting laid once a month more often by a different girl each time 4 years ago is going to make me happier right now. amp, Exactly. If someone said "I regret not having a threesome with those Swedish twins" I'd be like "hells yeah you should. I would regret it for you." But the desires of more random sex just seem ... not pathetic because that has quite the connotation, but not far from it. It's not like sex is impossible once you turn 27 or whatever age some of the people complaining about it are. |

Biggest regret is not moving into a dorm for college. My father gave me the choice of keeping my car while he pays for a dorm, or paying for my car while I live at home. I chose the car. Stupid choice. I basically didn't experience college the way people are supposed to.

Re: What would you do if you could start your life over from 19??
19 isn't really far enough for me. Ideally it would be 16, maybe 17. But if it's got to be 19:
1. Fix my university. I went to roughly 20% of my classes in my second and third years because I hated my course. I spent most of that time playing WoW. 2. Go out more. It was easy to stay in with a full cable package, a library of 700 DVD's, unlimited Torrent material and a massive plasma TV. But what a waste of time it was. 3. Make and develop friendships with more, and more interesting, people. |
