i think orange played them fine but the other guy is a crazy spewtard it looks like and I'd keep his s/n all to myself since he appears to be a loser at the game.

He's > 10 PTBB/100 in my DB. I'm sure he's not a loser, he may be one of the biggest winners at Stars 200NL. He definitely spews but he also gets retarded fish and bad tags to drop stacks on him.

10 outs almost always. I cba to work out if he has odds or not, I think he does?

With a probability of Tickner pulling a move, this is an fairly easy call, I assumule you'd pull this move with a hand like AK too once in a while Tick.

Btw, thx Jay

Mini trip report/live donks and online poker

So since I didnt have any finals today, me and my buddy headed over to Creek Nation Casino here in Tulsa to play their daily 45+5 daily donkament. We get there, register and finally get seated and everything.

So first orbit goes around and Im playing tight and everything waiting for a hand while the rest of the table is donking it up. Then I pick up KQo in MP and raise to 150(blinds 25/25 I still have my 3k starting stack) and guy to my left immediately minraises to 300. Decent SB calls and I call. Flop K J 9 rainbow. SB checks I check, he bets 200 (lol) sb calls, I call. Turn 9. Check, check, guy bets 600, sb folds, I reluctantly call. River A, I check, he bets 600 again and I purchase the one way ticket to valuetown. He proudly displaces K8 soooooted and I curse the 3 outer. Rigged.

Then I get switched tables before the first break to a table with a ton of young guys who seemed decent. Everyones chatting it up then one guy asks if anyone plays online poker. Two other guys chime in saying they have and talking about playing freerolls and that they wish they could deposit but their Visa's wont let them. Then they mention a lot of their newbie friends wish they could deposit too but cant cause of the legislation. They continue to talk about how they enjoy playing and what sites they play on and how once he final tabled a freeroll yadayadayada. So all in all I still think theres a ton of people who still want to play online even at the very least for a few hours a month for fun. If this legislation passes and we see all the big companies advertising I think the explosion of online poker will be even bigger than a few years ago.

Back to the tourney even though Im sure no one cares. I got like 3.5k in front blinds 100/200. 1 limper, loose CO raises to 600 with like 2k behind, I pick up 99 and the big blind and RR to like 1700. He ponders for a while and pushes AI for like 400 more to me. I obviously call and he flips Q8. Of course in true donkament style a Q hits the flop and there goes half my stack. I grind back to like 2k then I pick up A6o. Like 5 limpers to me so I just shove hoping to pick up blinds. Gets back to last limper on my right and thinks for a while and calls. Im like o [censored] but then am delighted when he turns over A4o. I flop a 6 and proceed to double up.

I eventually get caught stealing a couple times and have to push preflop with ATC to stay alive. Luckily I pick up TT but run into AK and lose the race. Frustrating day but fun none the less. I need to build up a live roll so I can play these frequently over the summer.

Cliff notes: I play donkament a local casino. While playing some donks talk about online poker and how they and their buddies wish they could deposit. This makes me happy. Then I get knocked out cause donkaments are rigged.

tl;dr

theres no way vae is one of the biggest winners at 1/2 atm, he spews way to much, even coming from me. Bilbo, I think your analysis on both hands is really wrong. Ya, he might have played them kinda spewy, but in no way is orange committed in hand 1 and hand 2, he could potentially check behind the turn for the reason the 7 is a bad card if he's saying "I have a set" but with him he could easily have 7x, so its fine, plus orange is nitty and folds big hands.

(He's still lol though for a lotta reasons)

yad,

to get some experience, play some 3r through 11r. they are much more suited for cashplayers as you can gambool to get a big stack first hour, and the structure is better.

add in some 20r and 30r when youre more comfortable.

also, fulltilt and UB are far better for tournaments, stars is a pathetic crapshoot 90% of the time.

no. ub and fulltilts structure allow for more play, and the higher antes allow for more owning with a big stack

so, with 20 people left the average stack may be like, 30bb. which is great.

same buyin for stars, average stack may be 12bb. which turns into a tournament where he-who-wins-allins-preflop owns the day.

any other tournament player will tell you as much. kinda telling as i am up 8k on fulltilt and down 1.5k on stars
