I think the OP has a point. The middle class would miss mahogany alot. Pine and oak etc are so 90s.

how is this related to omelette's?

So, is there a standard number of eggs for an omelet? Or is it up to the cooks taste? I've seen a couple of different numbers here. Is there a "point of no return" where you can have too many eggs? Looks like I've got breakfast taken care of for the next several days with this thread. Mmmm....

One ostrich egg should suffice. Any more than that may be regarded as gluttony.

Maybe preparing them over an open fire enhances the taste? Just guessing here.

a related question: how stuffed do you like your omelets? For me, the omelet in those pics looks to be too high a stuffing:egg ratio for me.

[/ QUOTE ]
I was thinking the exact opposite. That's one really fluffy three-egger.

I am not sure you can get that ratio high enough for me. I am not a huge egg fan; for me, the egg in the omelette is like the bread to a sandwich. Tasty, but mostly there to contain all the goodness inside.

To each his own. I like the egg. My omelettes have five eggs in them.

Yeah, that thing doesn't look particularly appetizing to me either. Happens with food in pics sometimes though I guess.
I'm sure if you served that up to me on a plate it would loook better and I would be digging right in.
