Update: My check was "processed" within a few hours. It seems to me that withdrawals to e-wallets can be very slow or very fast, and that cheques are much more reliable and processed faster.

[/ QUOTE ]

Received the check today, so it took a week to get here. Impressive.

Is this normal, it is the first time I used epassporte to cashout. Could this be the reason for a delay?

1) US
2) ePassporte
3) $100
4) 5/3, approx. 11 pm CDT
5) 5/5, approx. 1 pm CDT

Took a lot longer than usual for a measly $100 withdrawal. Normally the money hits ePass before noon the next day.

Received my money today. Was chosen for a random security check. I e-mailed a photo ID, and a few hours later the cashout was processed.

Apparently now you have to have a deposit on file within the last 6 months to withdraw any money. Anyone heard that one yet?

[ QUOTE ]
Please be advised that your withdrawal has been cancelled due to recent changes
to our security procedures. Customers are no longer eligible to request a
withdrawal without making a successful deposit. We realize these changes do pose
an inconvenience for our loyal players however; they have been implemented in
efforts to minimize the potential for fraudulent activity as well as to confirm
and identify customers' financial information and facilitate the withdrawal
process.

Please log onto your account and select "deposit" from the "cashier/my account"
tab for your list of available deposit options. We appreciate your co-operation
and understanding in this matter.
Please do not hesitate to contact us back if you require further assistance or
additional information.

Best regards,

Tanya

That seems to be pretty standard in the industry. UB has been one of the more lax rooms in regards to this...I guess they're finally tightening up.

They just implemented it within the last month.

Btw...there is no mention of this policy anywhere on their site. Personally, I don't see the reasoning behind this.

Not to mention, I know of other people who have withdrawn funds recently w/o having to do this.

I'm not positive, but i think the reasoning would be, for example, in the case of a hacked account. The hacker would only be able to withdraw money back to your account. Of course, they could chip dump, transfer to someone else, or deposit/withdraw with a new method, but it does make things a little more difficult.

Most sites do this, but not all. I also know of people who have been able to withdraw without depositing by a method at certain sites...however, I believe these sites are fewer than those that disallow the practice.

Also, I don't know if all the other sites that don't allow it bother posting it either.

UB deserves abuse for MANY of their practices, but I don't think this is one of them.
