If you are villain with AK and check behind on this river in a 100NL game you hate money. End of.

checking the river with AK here would be beyond horrible on villain's part

[/ QUOTE ]

Because hero is paying off with... what, exactly, that he takes this line with?

[/ QUOTE ]

lmao, you seriously check AK on this river as villain? That is ridiculously bad.

How is this thread soo long? Just bet turn and river.

I love how I posted some awesome hnds before that get like 3 replies but this is over 100 now

To generalize most of the opinions here

1. Donking flop is very bad
2. C/r river is mandatory after whiffed turn c/r
3. I highly doubt he ever shows up with AA-QQ, since that almost always bet calls the flop
4. Bet/turn crai/river seems bad since I don't know if he'll bet AK on the river after this line
5. Bet turn+ bet river seems best as most all agree that AQ/AK won't fold to 2 barrels

So it appears that my line if not optimal itself, was close to optimal.

As played, checking the rvr is bad. When you c/r him on the rvr he mucks AK and pushs AA.

This is an unknown 3-betting us from the CO. All this long discussion about air, ZOMG he HAS to bet AK on the turn, ZOMG he's bluffing the river so we can look him up with any PP or AQ, is really way off base IMHO.

So I'll stop there.

[/ QUOTE ]

is it just me or are most of his posts really off base and disagreed with?

why would you donk flop in a 3bet pot. let him Cbet for gods sake.

i suppose the aformentioned line is better than this line.

bet the turn, or the river. bet somewhere!!! this is horrible

[/ QUOTE ]

if villain cbets with AK on this board he is horrible.

any other overpair is stacking off.

[/ QUOTE ]

What about 87? A3o?

[/ QUOTE ]

those are all checks. This board is pretty horrible to c-bet on if you whiffed.

[/ QUOTE ]

wtf.

[/ QUOTE ]

why would i ever have a3o or 87o in a 3bet pot when im calling the 3bet?

[/ QUOTE ]

The post was assuming we were the 3better

[/ QUOTE ]

87o is definitely a check behind if we are the 3better then. a3o well i dont 3bet that ever but i would just give up.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not sure which is more retarded, 3betting 87o, or checking behind with 87o on a board like this once you've 3-bet.

Oh, wait, I do. It's checking behind. At least then you aren't falling into sunk-costs-matter fallacies.

[/ QUOTE ]

um lol? First off if you're going to quote me and call me out in a thread at least have a decent argument. 3betting 87o IP is FINE against certain opponents. And checking 87o behind is STANDARD on this board. Are you serious?

Seriously you have no concept of hand ranges.

This thread really got out of hand but i've converted to a check flop line as a result, so it was worth it.
