Re: known for \"X \"song but \"Y\" is better
Joey Tempest!!!
When I was 13/14 I was seriously into Europe, on the back of The Final Countdown and Rock the Night. I bought all their cassette tapes and rare records including the early albums. 'Superstitious' was their follow-up album to TFC, wasn't it? My 13-year-old self quite liked it, I remember. And the early albums were quite good, and heavier than the later pop stuff. I remember feeling a profound sense of injustice that Bon Jovi were more successful; there was a period when I thought it looked like either band could become bigger, but Bon Jovi won the battle. Soon, thankfully, I got into indie and - er - goth, and gleefully snapped my Europe records in half. I will never hear 'Cherokee' again! [ QUOTE ] Europe X-Final Countdown Y-Carrie [/ QUOTE ] |
