Awesome. And I know this isn't a strategy thread - but when you are playing THAT deep, aren't you asking for trouble when you over-bet raise a flush+gutter??? I mean ur only gonna get action from sets, no. well i guess you got action from sets - and loved the result! ha.

well, i got tarped by gary, that is all. i figured there was a decent chance gary's initial call of my flop bet was:
1. any pocketpair thinking he's good against my cbetting range (it normally is)
2. a flush draw (all flush draws there are higher then me)
3. top pair (very unlikely, only a few hands he calls a raise from EP with a 9, although we're so deep and the game was very good it's not impossible for him to call w/ those hands pre)
with 2 more people to act on a flushy board, i expected him to raise w/ a set, so when i 3bet (and i ment to just raise to 3k, effectively putting the minraiser all in, just happened to throw a tiny bit more money into the pot, but it was all for naught, bc i was committed for the rest, obviously) i expected gary to fold generally always. when he didnt muck right away (took him 30 seconds or so to throw alot of money into the pot) I thought there was a good chance i was boned and a 3-2 dog.
as for isolating vs the initial minraiser, well, there's a decent overlay, my hand range is a coin toss vs him, etc. so clearly i like being all in for 3k vs that stack.
also, if i just call the minraise, gary will still bump it up with anything big, and if he has the NFD he can overcall and im in a VERY bad situation unless i improve with the straight or we check down (and i pair or something)

my 3bet took only about 3 seconds though so i guess i should've taken more time, but i tend to move fast on things.
