So I'm playing in the $20k "grindroll" at party (you got an entry to them for earning 300pts for 5 days this week) and we're on the bubble and one guy (a shortstacker at NL200) starts to tell everyone to use their timebank and he always goes down to 1 sec before making his decision.

It goes on for a few hands until he is on the button and pushes for like 6 bbs and I call with KQ and busts his TT. He's out in 102 and top 100 gets the money. It felt soooooooo good.

Out of both tournaments. Crap.

So FTP offered me another small bonus ($150) so I think I'm gonna start 20 tabling again. My bankroll's almost back to $100NL (a week from $50NL to $100NL after stripping my roll is not bad. Helps to run goot!) but I'd probly do it at $50NL again. Only wish it wasn't such a pain to get money off FTP when I'm done (check). If they'd do this more regularly I'd just leave money on there but I'll only play there with bonus and they're only coming every few months.

Meh...

Honestly, its just that the play at 2/4 and 3/6 is a lot more aggro than 1/2. The players are better in general, but stacks get in a lot lighter. The vast majority of players aren't the 1/2 nits that love to fold overpairs. I've had success in very limited play at these levels (8k hands) where people "hand me stacks" in the words y'all use, but its really just that the games play like that.

no, the games really aren't like that. ppl getting it all-in for full stacks with small pocket pairs are giving away money

here's another example of ppl giving away money:

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $3/$6 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $441.10
BB: $354.25
UTG: $331.60
Hero (UTG+1): $624.00
MP1: $567.00
MP2: $737.75
CO: $237.00
BTN: $2,134.35

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (8 Players)
UTG calls $6.00, Hero raises to $27.00, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $27.00, CO folds, BTN calls $27.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $21.00

Flop: ($117) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $85.00, 2 folds, UTG calls $85.00

Turn: ($287) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG checks, Hero checks

River: ($287) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
UTG bets all-in for $219.60, Hero calls $219.60

Pot Size: $726.20 ($3 Rake)

UTG had A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (a pair of Kings) and LOST (-$331.60)
Hero had A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (three of a kind, Kings) and WON (+$391.60)

it's not playing more aggro, it's certainly not playing better in general, it's giving handouts

I wasn't referring to that hand specifically, but hands like tptk and small overpairs go to the felt like 5-10x more often than at NL200 in my limited experience. I've been payed off much lighter at higher levels than at nl200 and seen more people that are effectively burning money. Obv 33 hand isn't standard, but if he had JJ it would be whereas JJ gets folded at 1/2 a lot of the time I think.

GM, i'm going to just take a month or two and datamine your games and then study your hands/style/everything for like another month and then start emulating it.

This way people will just be in such awe that they hand me buy-ins like they do for you

anyone else interested haha?
