Online poker won't always be here though. I did finish school, and I enjoyed it a great deal, but @ the same time I'd have much rather just lived in a college town, still taken advantage of the parties and everything, but played full time instead of going to class. I also had to put in a TON of time playing basketball in college which took even more time away from poker. I think I threw away hundreds of thousands of dollars by finishing school and not putting in tons of hands on party and I would advise people to not make the same mistake. College is great, don't get me wrong, but I'd have rather had the extra few hundred grand....

[/ QUOTE ]

I strongly disagree with this. I'm 25, graduated from college 3 years ago and definitely would NOT trade my overall college experience for an extra few hundred grand in the bank today - and it's not close.

This is dumb. Get an education, enjoy yourself in the process. You sound like such an antisocial weirdo.

meh, it's just my 2 cents. I understand that alot of this forum doesn't agree, but I'm trying to take full advantage of online poker while I still can. College will always be there, you can always go back and get your degree. I don't want it to sound like I hated college, b/c that's not the case at all, I loved it, but I still love being able to go out 7 nights a week, sleep till 2pm, AND make 6 figures in the process w/out ever having to go to class. I'm not trying 2 start a big argument over this, those are just my thoughts, no hard feelings towards anyone who feels differently

Of course college will always be there, but the value of college isn't to get a piece of paper so that you are employable.

I guess what it boils down to for me is this: I loved college, but was it THAT much better than what I'm doing now? To me it's not. I love what I'm doing right now, and wouldn't trade this for anything....
