We talked about this for a good 20 minutes in class tonight.
I personally think the kid can ask John Kerry whatever the [censored] he wants. That's part of the role Kerry accepts as Senator. Now, if the cops spoke to the kid and told him he was being detained and would suffer the consequences should he get rowdy, out of line, etc. then I totally understand the police officers. But, agendas aside, if some basic rights were broken the kid has a case, no? |

[/ QUOTE ] i don't know about a case. more about movement. this [censored] happens all the time, especially at universities (large concentration of kids) where kids are starting to understand the world around them, and how [censored] up it is. the whole idea of a student (think tianamen square) getting attacked is undoubtedly a romantic ideal in the eyes of the public (students have pencils, not knives. carry bags of books, not guns. etc etc) so doing injustice (especially physical) to a student is pretty money if you want attention. |

[/ QUOTE ] i was joking with my friend the other day, if cops busted up in my apartment and arrested me the police report would read: marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, spanish sentence translation and verb conjugations were also found at the scene. |
