Passing Yards (35 yards per point; 3 points at 400 yards; 5 points at 475 yards)
Passing Touchdowns (5)
Interceptions (-1)
Rushing Yards (10 yards per point; 3 points at 225 yards; 5 points at 260 yards)
Rushing Touchdowns (6)
Receptions (.25)
Reception Yards (10 yards per point; 3 points at 175 yards; 5 points at 250 yards)
Reception Touchdowns (6)

Please rate my team. We start QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF

1. (4) Frank Gore RB
2. (17) Chad Johnson WR
Were Harrison/Smith gone? I don't mind CJ here since most RBs are gone
3. (24) Edgerrin James RB
Good pick
4. (37) Roy Williams WR
Good pick, I think I take Wayne and possibly Housh over him if available, but I may be in the minority
5. (44) Deuce McAllister RB
Should be a good flex, who else was available?
6. (57) Jon Kitna QB
I like Kitna, but I think this is a round too early for him. Were Rivers, Hassleback still available? If so I definitely take a wide receiver here and wait until next round to grab one of them or get Favre, Cutler, Leinart later
7. (64) Braylon Edwards WR
8. (77) Mark Clayton WR
Neither of these blow me away, though I'll admit I haven't been following Edwards. Wasn't Clayton just hurt? Who was left?
9. (84) Julius Jones RB
10. (97) Kevin Curtis WR
Ok
11. (104) Matt Hasselbeck QB
Answers my question from 6. This confirms my thoughts that Kitna was waaay too early. I think you missed out on a Santana Moss, Coles, etc type 3rd receiver which would have been great
12. (117) Chris Brown RB
13. (124) Denver DEF
I think this is too early for Denver. If defenses were really flying off the board I would have waited and taken Green Bay last round, no one seems to be on to them
14. (137) Adrian Peterson RB
Good pick if Bears guy
15. (144) Jerry Porter WR
16. (157) Owen Daniels TE
Don't really like him as the starter. Keep an eye on Greg Olsen if he wasn't taken
17. (164) Ben Roethlisberger QB
Great value pick, but you don't need 3 QBs in a start 1 league. IMO Hassleback and Roeth is a fine QB tandem, ditto Kitna comments from earlier. Drop (or trade) a QB and take a flyer on a guy like Patrick Crayton (who could produce given a Glenn or TO injury), Jacoby Jones, Bowe, etc, etc, etc
18. (177) Olindo Mare K

[/ QUOTE ]

Overall your starters are pretty good. You should have gotten more depth at RB in my opinion as you are pretty thin past McCallister. I would have tried to get a guy like the Min Peterson, Brandon Jackson, or someone like that at some point to fill in byes and work the flex with McCallister.

6. (57) Edgerrin James
7. (64) San Diego
8. (77) Kellen Winslow

Yah I'm not feeling the Jacobs pick. Seems like there should be a better RB out there if 4-5 QB's were gone at #24? Nice job of getting SJax @ #4 though.

!!!!!!I'm not all that high on Edge, but absolute steal here. I have him rannked higher than Jacobs.
7. (64) San Diego
Way too early imo
8. (77) Kellen Winslow
Also too early imo. If Galloway was still available, who else was here? I think you could have gotten a better 3rd receiver combo
9. (84) Joey Galloway
10. (97) Bernard Berrian

12. (117) Warrick Dunn

Very solid pickups
14. (137) Stephen Gostkowski

Steal

I don't really like those picks either. If you were going to go that way, I would have gone Brees or Palmer in the 2nd, and then Jacobs, Thomas Jones, Edge (obv if they are available) in the third. What RB were left when you picked Jacobs? Late 2nd is a tough spot for me as well because I have a tough time deciding between lower tier RB, or top WR/QB

How many teams? A couple of these picks were ridiculous steals

I don't like taking Bulger in the 3rd, but overall your team turned out solid.

Kyro,

Return yards get you points. Take return men that start on defense, like Terence McGee or Justin Miller. This is a confusing format, 10 points for a blocked kick? That seems kind of dumb. Again, I would have waited to take defensive players till I got running back depth. Once games start, see the worst defense, add their MLBs and SSs.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a good point. Unfortunately, I forgot about the draft and Yahoos ranking were completely random so I was going on ESPN and just drafting guys who had high sack/tackle/INT totals.

Before the Jacobs pick, Palmer and Brees were both taken. Peyton was taken with the 10th pick. The RBs left were Edge, Benson, McGahee, Jlewis, Deuce, TJones, and Portis. Kinda wish I wend portis or mcgahee, and was pretty pissed right after, but when I got edge in the 6th I felt fine.

I didnt like taking SD DEF that early, but Chi, Bal, NE, PHI(?!?!) and Miami were all gone. Plus I really like SD's Defense. Gostkowski was a stupid pick, I dropped him for Jason Hansen which makes me last for waivers.

I would have ranked your choices as Magahee, Benson, TJones, Portis

Quick- My draft is about to start and I have the 8th pick. Never done this before. P Manning is the 8th player on the list but the first QB. Good pick or no take a RB?
