Even thinking about "false tells" in online poker is a major hole in your game, I think.

[/ QUOTE ]

Probably at the $6.50s it is not worth the time. But, timing tells are pretty reliable as you move up.

[/ QUOTE ]Really? I mean, most of the timing tells I give are simply the result of multi-tabling (or tanking when deciding whether to call an all in...).

That said, there are some times when I fold in a marginal push situation where I feel like I've taken too long, and am thus more likely to get called...

Well, I'm talking more about quick actions. Like quickly checking, or quickly betting. These things usually show weakness. I'm also using them more in cash than I did in sngs. But, that might be just because I'm progressing as a player and not because they aren't valuable.

Also, people don't really multitable cash as heavily as sngs, so it's probably more reliable in cash games.

I agree there are timing tells. Of course they are never universal. You have to take them into consideration with the person you are playing against.

Your average player plays the same number of cash games as he does SnG's.

Yes, the average player probably plays the same number (=1) of cash games as he does SnGs. However, there are probably far fewer above average players 8-12 tabling cash games as opposed to SnGs, where I imagine that type of multitabling is more common.

I don't mean to de-rail this monumental thread...wickss! wickss! wickss!

your average multitabler doesnt. 8 6-max cash tables is much more difficult than 12 turbo sngs to play optimally

QFT

This is almost as preposterous as someone earlier suggesting that Wickss needed to account for the cost of a 'social life' in his budget.
