First I just want to say, AJo sucks.

So, if I'm 4-betting AJo the villain has to have been getting out of line with 3-bets. It's rare I'll like 4-bet some one with out them having a history of loose 3-betting.

As played, there's not much of a chance of getting away from this hand as play preflop. But, it's hard to imagine him have a worse A here to still be in a 4-bet pot. So, I'm taking a passive line here and calling down. Regardless of the wetness of the board.

bhokie,

I messed up reading the hand. You definitely can't raise and fold. I like calling. You have time to get the money in here and should be a little patient to coax as much as you can out of JJ/QQ or something.

You 4bet AJo preflop. That is LAG overdrive. You have to really really be at war against a guy to do that. In a 4 bet pot, even at a little more than 100bbs, you should expect to get it all in the vast majority of the time.

AJo might be the worst hand to 4bet pre with, unless maybe you are against absolute crazies or in an aggro HU match.

Thanks guys -

Micro - I was pretty sure you missed the 4 bet and resulting pot size.

Playing LAGish is fun, but I need to learn when to take my foot off the gas.

This is true. AJ is a bad hand to be 4betting with. Especially a 16/8, I mean that is ridic tight for 6max. He just isn't going to get out of line against you very often even if he sees you raising a lot.

UTG is 28/3

I've only played a small amount against each and don't have much of a read (numbers are from datamined hands - about 400 hands each on average).

What do you think about Hero's play?

Hero is a lag regular. Utg is 25/9 1.6/1/2.6 somewhat regular loser.
