i think they are talking about the more recent "aim musings thread"

I was talking about that and this:

http://www.flopturnriver.com/Small-S...y-Preflop.html (tl;dr...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

Anyway I think you just blocked it out because you are playing really nitty and are embarrassed

Either that or you are playing like 50/30 and don't want anyone to know. It can't be that you are just 15/10 because what is the point of blocking that out?

i still have a somewhat secret name, so i'd not like my tagfishies at 2/4 to know EXACTLY what my stats are, cause then they may figure it out and start making dumb-ass plays against me. I don't care that everyone knows that im somewhere in the 13/10-18/15 range.

Shortstack galore tonight.

This is why I hate playing so many tables sometimes. It's hard to adjust your raises with so many of these God forsaken shortstack around.

My girl friend of over a year broke up with me monday night in a, lets say, disrespectful way.

Tuesday was us basically flinging poo made of guilt, untold lies, and flaws for like 8 hours

Wednesday was drunken life tilt + poker

Thursday is stats and graph

I ran kinda bad, played way worse. Its ok though, it was only 1/3 of my online roll.

Man that was a marathon session...

This should probably be in psychology forum or something but I don't know who reads that so...

Whenever I run hot like this at the beginning of the session I always feel like calling it quits for the night.

Poker theory tells me this is bad but the part of me that knows 'me' tells me that if I lose that $900 in the next 300 hands I'm going to feel disappointed and end up playing a marathon session to try to get it 'back'.

So is it really that bad to quit when you had a good run and start fresh tomorrow?

My analytical poker mind tells me I'm being retarded but then again why go against natural emotion?

I kind of feel the same way as you after I have a sick run like that. I usually stay on the tables until I make one play that is absolutely retarded or suffer a bad beat, and then I quit. I think if you're running hot and/or playing your A game, why not continue playing?
