how did u guys do against the kansas city royals again...u lost 17-5 to the royals and your talking to the team in 1st place yeah go figure

I actually think he was commending BobO for his tirade on Glavine, a player on his own team. Coming from a Phillies fan this should mean alot for BobO because as far as I know Philadelphian's might be the best in hating on their own players.

Couple points:
1) I hate the umps for calling strikes off the plate, but it's silly to hate the pitcher for continuing to hit the spot on the outside corner. I used to hate Maddux for the same reason, because he always seemed to get the calls.

2) 2005 was the opposite to what you said. He improved each month. (2.22 second half ERA)

3) Isn't Glavine getting paid 10 million a year? That's not that expensive nowadays. And don't blame him for signing the contract; many players take the highest paying contracts offered, especially from a big market team like NYM.

Way to completely misunderstand the comment. It also is foolish to point to any one game. It would be more troubling if a team had lost, say, 4 series in a row, 2 by sweep.

Maybe the Phillies can trade Mesa for Schoeneweis? Teams are always in the market for relievers they can "turn around."

This team is so close to putting me on life tilt. Have the Yankees scored a run this series that wasn't a 500 foot home run? Is is to much to ask our pitches to not give up home runs?
